Reports of trans gay man beheaded in South Africa

I haven't seen anything about this in mainstream media?

 

Wow. This is the first time I've heard of the story. I'm disgusted but unfortunately, not surprised. Most communities; especially ones that are poorer, less educated, and religious; are extremely unsafe for LGBT people.

I was about to say the same thing ... confusing reports on the story, and it's disturbing that someone was "beheaded" regardless of who they are/what they did.

 

IN my own back yard!!!!! man oh man, Im so glad I'm not living in SA, but next to SA isn't better though.

 

hmmm...
when conflicting stuff like that appears, and the source is sometimes questionably biased, i turn to looking for other sources less questionable and tend to take it with a grain of salt, not get too worked up.

but i can see where that makes you feel scared.

I saw a follow-up to this last night. Detectives are currently investigating. No arrests, so the suspects remain at large. They say the victim was found with a slit throat and his mutilated genitals in his mouth. This is gruesome and unacceptable. They better catch those thugs (I wouldn't bet on it though).
