I read this article yesterday morning. Seems the bullying is not really slacking off any. And the LGBT youth are paying with their lives... I can't get over it. It's just so devestating.

This is horrible. I wish that these who are bullying others would realize what they are doing.

The sad thing is they don't even give shit and sadly it make take their own son or daughter to commit suicide in order to realize they were wrong.

I would gladly beat the crap out of these kids and deal with the consequences if I was the parent.

A sad testament to the lack of care and respect for some of the most disadvantaged of our society, tortured for something that's neither bad nor changeable.
America: where the right of someone to live their life ends at birth.

Absolutely horrible to think that somebody about my age killed himself. I started crying when I read the note. RIP Brandon, another unfair death due to prejudice.

What the fuck is wrong with people? Set him on fire. Let me set you on fire for being straight, see how you like that. You know if one gay person bullied a straight person into committing suicide the entire world would know about it and it'd be a national issue and police would take action and it would never happen again. This just really sucks. The world sucks. Rip Brandon.

Gosh.. what a poor kid. I almost cried to this. This is completely horrible on how a certain person could be treated like a piece of $hit all because of their sexuality....
    RIP Brandon.

Holy crap. These stories are awful.

They make me realise how lucky I am to live in a place where the worst thing someone does is ask me to give them a blow job jokingly.

The thing that makes me most scared though is what others have pointed out. Even some of the meanest people I know would be woken up by someone committing suicide due to homophobic bullying. But I get the feeling that these creeps will feel like this is some sort of success.

And I don't get why the mother has come out and said that the school did enough... clearly they didn't. These kids should have been expelled.

I can't believe the school did all they could. Surely they have the power to expel the bullies? At the same time, we don't know all the details - maybe they were powerless to act for some reason.

As I'm sure it's been said before - how many have to die before this issue is taken seriously...

i have a feeling that LGBTQ rights is going to be the 2nd biggest Civil Rights issue of all time. It's so wrong that people are being tormented, murdered, and driven off the edge just because they are attracted to the same gender! :bang:
Why can't we all just except each-other?!?!
