Think of how many children each year are taken away into protective custody because of abusive, neglectful heterosexual parents?

One of mike huckabee's sons found, killed, and mutilated a stray dog one time at camp, and he had heterosexual parents.

if you really want to save families then why not create job so people don't have to work 2+ jobs just to make ends meet and they can spend more time at home. Stop out sourcing job Mitt, pay your damn taxes and the such!

 

Why don't you solve the plague of single mothers before worrying about gay parenting? Over half of marriages end in divorce and most households today are actually not the ideal that some love to champion in this campaign.

If the ideal is one mother and one father, every family should have the missing parent appointed to them. That's what's best for the kids, right?

 

Yup, children are better off with straight parents, just like eating steak is better off with a spoon.

 

I would say the absolute ideal would be to have a mother and a father so as to experience both genders as parents. But ideal situations don't matter and the gender of one's parents is basically inconsequential in terms of raising a child right. So, I don't begrudge Romney his comment unless he was trying to imply that having homosexual parents is a real detriment or that they could not be as good at parenting as a hetero couple.

 

Quite sure that's what he was getting at, but who knows.
