They were arrested for protesting, not for being gay or requesting a marriage license, big difference. Still disgusting that this is even still an issue in the US, but the media shouldn't bunch people like these dudes, or Rosa Parks (protesting an inequality) with people facing prosecution for being gay, like Lawrence v. Texas.
It is true that it's revolting, but like Brad said, they were arrested for protesting and staging a sit-in, the same thing would've happened if it were a straight couple.
It's true they were only arrested for protesting, But Texas in general still sucks. Especially where I live.
