    Just how gay-friendly is Queensland typically? I will be moving there in January and am curious. Based on the article, it seems like, politically, there isn't very much support yet...but hopefully this new group will get a lot done and help progress the legislation.

    Maybe slightly more homophobic than New South Wales or Victoria. Maybe not. Australia in general is mildly homophobic, though, about on par with the states (???)
