    So, after reading that article... is anybody like "man, I get to be alive and witness a cure get developed for a disease that was thought to be uncurable." I have hope it's going to happen in our life time. Imagine the lives that will be saved. Conversely, we must never forget the lives that were beyond help at the time.

    And two more people are being reported as HIV/Aids Free after bone marrow transplants

    Stem cell transplantation is still extraordinarily difficult to survive through, and a match still has to be found that also has the CCR5-delta 32 mutation.

    It could be an excellent treatment for end-stage AIDS patients, albeit expensive.
