TBH, People need to get over themselves.

It's simple really,

Chic-Fil-A's founder and the company have a right to believe what they want. If they came out as anti-LGBT, I couldn't care less. The issue begins when they donate money to organizations that try to dehumanize LGBT people, and in the process of protesting us protesting, the people supporting Chic-Fil-A are telling us that they have Freedom of Speech, but we don't, further trying to dehumanize us.

Chic-Fil-A is full of chicken fat.I mean it comes down to the ballswingers at corporate.They are being bigots and its thats the bottom line.It's too bad they didn't know better then to take any stand besides selling fried chicken sandwiches?I mean ask the CEO of Domino's pizza what he thinks,he says we are a pizza company,not into politics and making a stand against someone based on sexual orientation.I say leave all people to choose their sexual behavior as to a man with a man,if they practice safe sex like a man and woman and enjoy it,so be it,do it all day long?

I don't really understand what the goal or point of boycotting chic-fil-a is, but I certainly relate to this sentiment. Love her.

I don't really like the fact that this Chic-fil-a controversry blew up. I think its a bad issue for the pro-marriage rights people to fight over. Its mixed up with governmental power overreach and restrictions on economic freedom, issues that are completely separate from gay marriage but allows people (conservatives and moderates) to "fight against the liberals" while ignoring the fact that the company is actively anti-gay.

there's a difference between having freedom of speech and putting funding into something that is specifically targeting one group of people for discrimination.

and specifically, putting money into Exodus when that is an organization that has primarily been about pushing and encouraging a form of "therapy" that the APA has said is not effective and can even be harmful.

my boycotting them won't make any difference, as I live in Canada and have never been to a Chic-Fil-A, but if I were in a position to boycott them I would do it because I wouldn't want a single penny that I've spent to go into encouraging people to hate themselves or to go into an organization that is trying to lord the ideology of a handful of religions over an entire country.

I am down with boycotting. But the ability to spend your own money as you see fit does fall under free speech.

Dan Cathy and his father fund organization that are trying to make being LGBT a offense that would put you in jail, and remove your claim to american citizenship so that they can then deport you, and bar you from entering the country.

That is evil in and of itself.

Fair enough. But other corporations utilize child slavery/labor, destroy local economies, bribe foreign governments(often times for the right to take land from locals w/o paying them) etc. A lot of businesses make questionable, if not downright evil, ethical decisions.

The problem here, is that the attempted boycott of Chick Fil A has been worse than a failure. Its making Chick fil A money and if anything giving them an incentive to donate more money to anti-gay groups.

the effort was a wise choice in the first place based on the fact that most all lgbt led boycotts have been successful in making a economic point. if Mike Huckabee, father of obese dog mutilators, and all around anti-constitution douchebag, had not called for a cholesteral-in, the boycott would have been effective.

The right wing has failed in their anti-gay boycotts, and so they are going to anti-cott boycotts, since they have not been sucessful anywhere else. it is one last hatefilled scream of a dieing class of bigotts as even the homophobic base within the republian party is eroding as more and more republicans are realizing that gays are not the threat.

What I don't get is when that North Carolina minister said that gays and lesbians should be put in basically concentration camps, there was NOTHING from politicians, celebrities or anything. This whole Chik-Fil-A thing has been happening for years and people are just now realizing it?
