Methinks somebody just wants attention. This IS Paris Hilton we're talking about. This chick doesn't have much room to talk about other people. Until that skank cleans herself up, she should lay off of other people.

I think there is both a factor of this being taken out of context, and a factor of Paris being her typically hyperbolic and generalising self.

And I wouldn't care if she said all gay guys should die. I'd still be a fan of hers. She's a lot smarter then she's given credit for, that's for sure.

Sad. Though I'm interested to know how Perez Hilton is going to react. As for the AIDS comment. I'm not afraid because basically every group people are more likely to get a disease than other group of people, whether race wise, gender wise, sexual orientation wise and so on.

 

I love Paris Hilton. I normally roll my eyes at gotcha journalism but that is really what this seems like to me, it's gotcha journalism. Paris Hilton basically invented the effeminate gay man stereotype, so to act like she's even slightly homophobic is quite frankly just stupid on its face. I've said the same thing she said about gay men before. This is a story about nothing. It really is.

 

I do kind of agree with her (that that certain subset of gay men are reckless, although not necessarily in so many words), and I don't really blame her for saying it. She's always been that ditzy girl on the news, saying things she'll later regret. She's not really a stupid spoiled whore, just a bit.........off. This won't change how I perceive her at all.

 

Skank and whore are not acceptable words to be using to describe her. She may be insensitive or thoughtless in this whole affair, but we're not doing slut-shaming here.

 

I really don't see why people are defending her here. Making a general statement that gay men are "disgusting" and will all die of AIDS is offensive and unacceptable....

 

Her comment is evil. She is at best ignorant and inconsiderate.

 

I really don't care what Paris Hilton says. She's completely egotistical and acts like we should all listen to everything that comes out of her mouth. I honestly think that if someone sees her as a role model and is influenced by everything she says then they are pretty much doomed to begin with.
