Well, it is still primarily a news site rather than a community of people. while it's possible for people to make contact, it's still an offense against the rules here to say "I am X on Queerty". I think it's legit to keep it open. Besides, a lot of the commenters are so misogynist it's crazy. I wouldn't even want to know most of the people there.
Oh, it wasn't the contact thing. I just thought it was a bit of a seedy source compared to most of the other sources cited here, and I've never seen it used before.
