    No. Because the GOP relies crucially on all forms of bigotry, including heterosexism. America is a sick nation, as long percentages higher than 20% (and it's right now at like 46% or something, depending on what's being asked) of Americans continue to oppose advances in queer rights, there won't be a political realignment.

    until the GOP stops opening the door for fundementalists, white supremicists, anti-semitic groups, and hate groups in general, the answer is no.

    the GOP denounces anything that actually is said by Jesus in the bible to be 'socialisem' and 'evil', and the only christians who agree with that are the fundementalist, so yes, they do not like christ-centric christians (otherwise known as traditional, real christians).

    That is reinforced by their own political platforms.
