Facisem has no connection to the concept of marriage itself.

Facisem and religion however go hand and hand, and feed off each other. We see it in america with the rise of the 'christian identity' movement, which is a neo-facist, white supremicist, anti-semetic movement who seeks to topple anything that does not fit in with their religious world view, and replace the goverment with a christian identity facist theocracy.

We saw it in facist italy, with persecutions of religious and ethnic minoirities, and a mistrust towards anyone not of the roman catholic denomination. We saw it in facist Germany during the rise of the Third Reich, which based its hatred of the jews most firmly in the anti-semitisem of the christian movement up to that time (catholics and protestants were highly anti-semetic until the holocaust, where anyone who still clinged to that either went under ground, or in america, joined groups like the 'christian identity'.)

Gay marriage affects no one but the people who are gay, and get married to the person they love.

FACISEM is denying gay people the right to marry because it offends the sensabilities of someone who is trying to pursue a totalitarian state, which is highly popular with right wing extremists, who want to create a system of governance that controls those the goverment does not like based on a fading perception of populisem.

Homophobia is becoming something society is rejecting, which is why right wing goverments fight to put as much into law to further demonize and harm gay people while they still can.

State fascism is like repetitive redundancy.

I was thinking the same thing and I even looked up the definition of fascism to be sure. People will throw big words around just to make other people agree with them and they won't even think about what they're really saying.

Does anyone else find it quite amusing that someone clearly Conservative (I think, is that what his party's stance is sort of?) is saying Gay marriage is a step towards Fascism...something that is considered on the Right side of the political spectrum? lol.

I thought that too. We see this in america also: they dont like goverment controlling your lives, but they want goverment to prosecute the sex you have in the privacy of your own home between consenting adults, womens access to cancer screenings, doctors being required by law to shove things up your vagina (ironicly, doing so against a woman's will constitutes, under law, rape), people having access to birth control if they so choose, who is allowed to marry, and what religion you are allowed to practice freely.

We already have a facist movement in america, and that has not worked out well for the world.

No, because fascism is a statist ideology to begin with.
