Holy shit, GOOD news? Sorry I'm a bit taken back. I'm used to seeing bad news whenever there's a transgender news story.

I saw this already, but it doesn't hurt to post and say that I think this is pretty neat-o.

  6. Even if Obama/Biden doesn't win 4 more years
this already pushes the country more forward

Given my experience I'm not at all surprised that he would come out supporting transgender equality.

The gap between the Democratic and Republican presidential tickets on issues related to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people of every sort has never been so wide as it is this year. The most pro-equality Democratic ticket in history vs. the most anti-equality Republican ticket in history; there's a lot at stake here. I really hope all LGBTQ people as well as straight cis allies realize this when they cast their ballots.

That's a really amazing thing to say given the lack of general awareness of trans issues, the lack of acceptance of trans folk (even in the so-called "LGBT community"), and the fact that trans folk are not likely to be a large enough segment of the population for a major politician to bother about saying things just to get their vote. Joe Biden is probably sincere on this one. Way to go, Joe!

Joe Biden is the best though. I really hope Obama gets re-elected! Too bad I can't vote yet :frowning2:

I am happy that someone powerful finally acknowledged transgender people in a positive way.
