I've never seen or heard of anyone who has been bullied for being left handed. But I bet it happens. I like this video.

I'm pretty sure this is an anology to LGBT discrimination and bullying.

yeah i've seen this video like weeks back. I think it is a rather interesting analogy, something i couldn't even think of myself since in our generation hardly anyone cares whether someone is left-handed or right-handed. A fact i was discussing with my friends the other day, the stronger arm always associates with whether you are left-handed or right-handed since much of the heavy lifting for an individual is applied to whichever hand they use most for writing, sports and other hand related activities

    There's one problem with analogy.
Speaking analogous, one can learn to be bi, i.o.w. ambidextrous.

^ That's what I considered too, so I guess it only goes so far. (The analogy.)

The video has been posted on here but it's nice for more people to see it. I rather like it myself. But everyone seems to misunderstand it...

No... some people are born ambidextrous, and while its possible to learn to write with the other hand, its not natural. So in that sense, I think its actually a good analogy - you try to write with the other hand (try to be straight) it might be possible, but not natural or comfortable.

I suppose I'm taking it too literally though.

It might not be born-into, but lefthanded people can learn to write with their right hand.
AFAIK a gay person cannot learn to be attracted to the opposite sex.

The ones that do do it because of society.

The same happens with gay people and the opposite sex. Some people end up feeling pressured into hiding themselves, etc.

You're still not getting the point.
I acknowledge that it's due to the environment.
But whereas a left-handed person can learn to write right-handed, a gay person cannot learn to be attracted to the opposite sex.

People can't be left handed, the Bible says Adam and Eve not Adam and Left-Hand.

dammit... could not find the american dad clip with franceen going bonkers because of one of her kids bringing home a left handed person who just happened to be black, so when she chased them out of the kitchen, everyone assumes she is a racist.

There are more left-handed people in my immediate family (including myself) than right-handed people. My mother was the only left-handed child among her five siblings. Her father (my grandfather) was forced by the nuns at his Catholic school to write with his right hand, despite being left-handed. So technically he is somewhat ambidextrous.

Nowadays the only things I notice as a left-handed person are:
    1) the labels on pens read upside-down when I'm writing.
    2) nearly all desks in school are right-handed, meaning I've had to sit diagonally to rest my elbow on the desk and still have room to lay the paper.
    3) People tell me I'm going to die early. To which I reply, "I don't measure the value of my life by it's length, but rather by how much time I am not around you." I don't say that.

I like how I'm the only left-handed person at my job and yet I have the best handwriting. I get to write all the signs in the store! <--lefty thumbs up

There isn't anything wrong with being left handed, just like there isn't anything wrong with being purple.

That being said, I don't wanna ever never ever...

    be purple.
