    Wow ok lol

I guess I'll have to go print up a certificate to prove I want to promote Homosexual Awareness now and that I'm not straight... *goes to make certificate*

Oh that IS the next step right? Since I'm a homo and all?

WTF? WHO DAFUQ has heterophobia? *headdesk*

(bad) parody much? or just need money?

not that I am military myself, but how often do military homosexuality have a problem?... I mean, shouldn't we worry about money being put in unnecessary wars? so we dont have too many military personnel's?

They're not talking about the military. Militant means like...well I suck at explaining things here's the dictionary definition: "Having a combative character; aggressive, especially in the service of a cause."

Funny. I've never heard of violent homosexuals attacking heterosexuals.

Maybe there are cases like that, but it's nowhere near as bad as the amount of homosexuals being attacked.

We have eleven months of the year that are heterosexual awareness month.

Here is the quote that really kills me though:

"We also believe that the negative treatment and unwarranted abuse of those who simply disagree with gay marriage is out of control. Disagreement on a controversial issue is not hate."

This is an illegitimate attempt to cast opponents of human rights as the victims. It is true, and in my opinion and extremely good thing, that opponents of marriage equality are sometimes treated negatively. In the same way a misogynist or a racist is treated negatively. They are being told in no uncertain terms that their views are unacceptable and will be met with very harsh social consequences.

Well, I guess that this will end people being falsely suspected of being gay, if people can show show that they are certified heterosexuals.

Honestly, this is so stupid its barely offensive.

I think what these people might promote as the "next step" is that you brand yourself and go live on an island with all the other homosexuals, since you can't show your papers proving that you're a bona-fide hetero :bang:.

I was already upset about this, and then I saw the slogan on their mugs - "Our parents already know."

I'm sure all of us, especially patrons of this particular website, understand and feel incredibly upset about how callous that one statement is to the process of coming out.

Yeah that especially bothers me. I'm having such a hard time with even thinking about how I'll have to tell my family that to have these people just throw that in my face is just... It just makes everything harder. Makes me feel like I'm ridiculous for having to come out in the first place.

It's hard enough as it is. It makes me feel like I'm wrong or stupid for having to tell people if I want to be fully accepted. Especially because I know that by doing so my family will not accept me.

I know I shouldn't take it personally, but it is personal for me.

In all reality it's bullying guys, I say we all report it to Facebook. If we do it enough they'll take it down.

I reported it a long time ago... I'm surprised it made news. At first, I was laughing, thinking it must be a joke, but I kept scrolling, and I just got angry. It's ignorance and hatred. No bones about it; one thing that made me particularly upset was a picture on the FB page: it offered corks to put into the bum as a cure for being gay. I know it was supposed to be satire, but it wasn't funny in the least. I was really offended about it.

I just reported it as hate speech. The more reports the greater chance it'll be removed. Reporting though as "I just don't like it" might cause nothing

I reported it too, as well as wrote a message to the Facebook admins to take it down.

Pages should have to be approved by Facebook before they can be published, I think. This would prevent a lot of online bullying.

I imagine that there are way to many pages being made for the Facebook staff to manage that.
