    so why didnt they berate conservative presidents for doing the same thing, and refusing to allow their DOJ's to defend a law in court that was being challanged.

    the real point here is that these conservative justices were unable to properly argue against the merits of the plaintiff's case against DOMA, so they decided to bash obama for doing something nearly every president in the last 30-40 years has done.

    No clue.

    I'm not a Supreme Court justice, and I never said that was right. However, Obama likes telling people what they want to hear. Though, many people in politics tend to do this.
