So yesterday in the Boston Herald's coverage of the DOMA case, they sought out the executive vice president of the MA Family Institute to comment and of course he groused about gay marriage, but I was stunned by his exact words. He complained that "In Massachusetts, we never even had an opportunity to vote on marriage equality." (because it came about here from the MA Supreme Court). I can't believe he actually called it "marriage equality"! It's mostly just him being an idiot I suppose (given what side he's on), but it also really shows how well we're doing!

Oh how I love it in Massachusetts where even the anti-gay folks still recognize it's a matter of basic equality

Why don't we just give all the anti gay people a state. Like...let's carve out just a portion of land from like...Kansas. An un-populated area of the state. Let them name it whatever they want, let them be responsible for everything. And let's see how successful they are and how many people move to Bigotville.

I've been wondering what all these anti-marriage equality groups are going to do once it becomes legalized. Disband? With the statistics in favor of marriage equality, I don't see what momentum they will have.
