I didn't see it when it happened, but my roommate quickly found the video and showed me. One of the worst injuries I have ever seen. The only other one I can think of like Ware's is when Eduardo got injured playing for Arsenal in the Premier League several years ago. Both were horrific and gruesome. I really hope Ware gets to play again someday.

It looked bad enough without seeing it up close, but Petino's (sp?) description of the bone being "6 inches out of the skin" sounded all the more horrific... That's like high-speed car accident - type stuff. Ugh. Best wishes to the guy; hope he can play again.

Btw for anyone that cares about the sports side, apparently all the guy was doing after the injury was shouting "Win the game!" Talk about a tough kid...

Yeah I had just switched it over to the game when they were putting him on the stretcher, so I didn't know what happen. Once they said leg injury, my curosity got the best of me and I looked it up, I wished I didn't.

I pray that he has a speedy recovery and gets back to doing what he loves.

i was watching the game too and was horrified. it looked like his lower leg snapped clean in half, which apparently is exactly what happened. i wonder if he previously had damage to that leg, it seems astonishing that just landing on it could cause that kind of injury

I didn't know about it until today in Pathology when my professor proceeded to show us the clip not once but THREE times!! Apparently it was a compact convoluted tibial fracture

For those interested, He's getting ready to hold a press conference to talk about his injury.

I am so glad I wasn't watching the game. My roommate told me about it. I probably would have vomited. Poor guy.

I'm really scared to watch the video, but part of me is really curious. I saw part of the video on Piers Morgan Live the other night, but they blurred out the part where he lands. The reaction of his teammates on the bench says it all, really. He's lucky they were able to fix it. He could've been much worse off than he is with an injury as severe as that.

I saw it, it looked really nasty. Man that must hurt like crazy, got to admire the guy who even says he can come back from that.
