WTF?! God damn it not again.

Is there any word when the Senate will be voting on the proposal?

That's what the ACLU had to say the first time the bill came up. You can view the letter here.

Although, this bill is different from SOPA and PIPA, it should be noted that it does attempt to define "intellectual property theft" as a type of cyberattack. At least it did in its original incarnation.

People should take a moment and think about just how much personal data about them is stored online by various private companies. Do we really want Google sharing all of it's data mining with... well anyone? I think the provisions proposed by the ACLU are very good and should be advocated, and if they are not included in the bill then it should die a horrible and swift death.

That's standard political bullshit. They say stuff like that, because that way if you oppose the bill they can attack you by saying, "Why do you support North Korean cyberattacks!?"

It's like when they were fighting to pass the Patriot Act, and if you opposed it you were attacked as anti-American.

CISPA is cancer of the Internet. Hopefully it gets shot down in the senate, and if it passes there, I've heard Obama's senior advisors say that he would likely veto it. But yeah, CISPA is SOPA and PIPA's offspring.

Yep. I guess SOPA/PIPA/CISPA all sound more appealing than the Restriction of Internet and Violation of the Fourth Amendment Act.

I wonder, what is the possibility of 535 recall elections being held at the same time?
