Colorado leaders move on same-sex marriage, even before civil unions begin – LGBTQ Nation

In 2006, when Amendment 43 was passed I wasn't old enough to vote, but now I am! Also, kudos to the republican that now feels she can speak her mind - too bad she didn't feel like she could while elected.

don't say you want to get 'stoned' in a redstate... you might not like the type of stoning they provide.

Colorado is definitely not a "red state" anymore. At most it's a purple state...but on social issues at least it definitely is one of the more progressive states. It's shown a willingness to be more progressive than Oregon on both marijuana and same-sex marriage, for example.

If it weren't for Colorado Springs.... CO would be easily blue.

Actually, while Colorado did vote democrat the last couple of elections, only the Denver/Boulder area are blue. The majority of the outlying cities are red.
