    Hello,

Does anyone have any literature that I could use for my research topic in Gender Studies about how children learn to "do gender" and also about gender fluidity.

I need research papers please, proper literature, not random internet articles..

    Thank you in advance

There is a book called "Myths of Gender" that I had to read for a psychology class a while back. I for get who the author is though. I also never read it either but it might be helpful.

Judith Butler would probably be a good start.

Well, Cordelia Fine's "Delusions of Gender" is more of a polemical review than a typical academic paper, and (as the title suggests) she mostly discusses studies she considers dubious, as well as flaws in popular literature, but the book is fairly recent (2010) and has good notes and bibliography, so it might be useful as a starting point.

While not exactly about gender fluidity, "The Second Sex" by Simone de Beauvoir I believe would also be a good reference, especially on it's theory of how gender roles are shaped not by anatomy but by societal expectations.
