    .

I hope that this bill passes this time. I know that at my job, some clients have asked me to leave after finding out I am gay. Thankfully, I have a supportive boss who will just put me on some other jobs.

I want to stress that it needs to be trans*-inclusive, otherwise I hope to see it fail.

This article is not very clear about it, but this does include gender identity as well as sexual orientation.

^ This 100%. People love to throw around the GLBT acronym for causes; yet it seems like a lot of times a given solution only pertains to fixing things for a couple of letters in said acronym. I really hope that the bill also includes special stipulations for the rest of us who get treated like crap at work for being ourselves.

This isn't included in federal law? I could have sworn that it was under federal law that nobody should discriminate while employing someone.

Holy crap, I actually didn't know it was legal to do this and I live in a state that I can.(I hate Virginia) Thankfully, I worked with a openly gay guy and he didn't get fired, so at least I know my boss wouldn't fire me if I came out.

    Hopefully this passes.

Sadly it is not included in the current federal law. You think that it would be, but it's not.

The Federal Government cannot discriminate against their employees because of policies though. You think that the same policies would extend to the state level, but they don't.

Ohh... trust me, in the more conservative parts of Ohio, they are not scared to tell you. I had somebody throw my college newspaper in my face and flat out tell me that I was off the job because I was "one of the gays". I was recording when it happened. (I work for a video production company at my school.)

There's also the whole Bishop Waterson thing going on right now.

Some people are very outspoken about their hatred of LGBT people.

Also, the bill has been officially introduced!
