    It is! And what bugs me is the open discrimination against the LGBT community in the law. If a guy catches his girlfriend cheating on him and shoots his girlfriend's lover as a panic reaction, he goes to jail. If a guy finds out his girlfriend used to be a guy and shoots her as a panic reaction, there may not be any legal consequences whatsoever. Seriously, WHAT IS THAT SHIT?! Why doesn't the law provide the same protection to the LGBT community as it does to everyone else? :bang:

    Because by all technical definitions we are "mentally ill" for being trans*. We are considered less than second class citizens in most cases and are basically equated with animals in that when we die or are killed or involved in legal matters, no one cares. The difference is, there are laws protecting animals from cruelty, but most places don't have laws protecting us. :slight_smile:

    At least the guy in the middle seemed to be trying to talk over those two bigoted idiots and focus on what he was talking about.

    Technically, if you go by the new DSM, being transgender is no longer considered a mental illness.

    I agree that the whole "trans* panic" thing is a whole bunch of BS. This defense is thankfully beginning to die though. I don't think that it will be a defense for much longer.
