I am cautiously optimistic. It seems like a no-brainer to me. Human rights will prevail.

The oral arguments and all speculation point toward:

    1. DOMA will be struck down as unconstitutional; same-sex couples will get full federal benefits of marriage within states where it is legal.

    2. Prop 8 will be thrown out on a technicality; District Court's decision holds and California keeps legalization of marriage equality. Marriage equality for the entire nation will have to continue on state-by-state basis, unless someone brings another case before the Supreme Court and they conclude differently.

If it's anything but those two outcomes I will be shocked.
