    The situation that happened was bad, from what I'm understanding, the article is a good thing.

    They found that transgender people are covered under the workplace discrimination law. At least where it happened.

    Discrimination will still happen. Sure it might be against the law but it's really easy for a company to come up with some excuse instead of outright saying that they won't hire a trans person.

    Plus it's hard to prove, this case is special because they were caught in an obvious lie. Unfortunately I don't think this will accomplish much.

    Companies do that with everyone, not just LGBT. They just can't openly say why they fired you or why they won't hire you.

    I think people talk about companies discriminate people with chronic illnesses too?
