    Hey guys

Was just wondering how you can embed HTML from a website in a post. It's a countdown clock.

As far as I know, you can embed HTML using the
    HTML:
tags. It's possible that we have HTML disabled in posts though. I've never tried.

I think, but am not certain, that we have HTML disabled in posts because it is a potential security risk.

Down in the posting rules (just below the left hand side of quick reply), it says "HTML code is Off" ^_^ if that's the same thing, unless it just means you can't use HTML tags?

HTML is disabled globally, for the reasons Chip already mentioned. It would be a severe security risk. With just one HTML post one could possibly steal your EC identity and login data and also keep track of EC users on other websites.

Especially the later quite often happens on embed codes for some gadgets that other websites offer. The most known example is a facebook "like" button.

Needless to say, this will never be an option here ..|
