Photos of yourself?

I know we aren't allowed to post photos of ourselves anywhere on the forums, but I see people with what is clearly their own picture as their avatar, is this allowed?

I've also seen that I'm not supposed to link to any blogs, what about an art blog/website. I've been thinking of making one, but I haven't yet. It wouldn't have any information about me. Just information about what I make.

 

From what I understand you cannot link to an offsite blog due to the ability to connect it to you

 

You can have self-photos as your avatar, just know that everybody can see your photo. You can link to blogs, as long as it is not your own. So, you would not be able to link your blog in the main forums, or anywhere that is public on the site.
