Okay, so I really badly want to use a photo of myself for my avatar so I can make my experience here more personal. I think I may end up doing it anyway. However, I was just wondering if anyone here (that maybe knew a bit about how search engines work) would know if someone was googling my name or email or whatever what the chances would be that they would find my profile photo/avatar here?
Probably not if someone is looking for you specifically, but I have happened across the EC forums on google, and it will be visible there.
If you want to take it a step further for privacy, you could upload pictures into an album on here, which can only be viewed by either registered members at the minimum or only by friends if you choose to make them more private. Also, non-registered guests viewing the site can see people's avatars, so maybe you could have it be your profile picture instead, as profiles can only be viewed by registered members.
