As far as I can tell, you can't edit it, which seems pretty counter-intuitive and weird to me, but that's how it works haha.
I think the drafts are meant to just save your text. You can still copy/paste from your draft into a new blog.
I could be wrong, but I couldn't find any way to edit (or delete) a draft entry.

I had the same problem that TJ had.

The best approach is probably to write the entry using a word processor or text editor, edit there, and only use the EC blog compose system to move the text over, and do final formatting.

Is it possible to delete the blog entry?

If you're talking about the draft entry, then no, there is no way that I saw to delete the draft.
If you want an actual blog entry deleted, click the report button on the entry and in the report message, ask for it to be deleted and a Moderator can handle it for you.

You guys should fix this part of the site. Not being able to edit a draft is counter-intuitive like you said, and same as with not being able to delete it.

Editing drafts might be counterintuitive, but being able to delete them would create a loophole where people could put offsite contact information in it and then delete the blog post.

I thought we were taking about a draft and not the post.

Started with the draft the somehow morphed into the actual post.

Yeah just came across this, having no edit function for your own blog is completely daft and not really asking a lot.

If I remember correctly from a previous time this was mentioned, turning on the function to self-edit/delete crafts turns it on for the actual blog post as well, so it's both or neither. So, due to the security in place, the function is switched off. However, as it is a draft, the staff can't see it, so are unable to edit/delete like they can on normal blog posts.

Could be completely wrong, but I think that's the gist of what was said another time. Hope it helps

I can totally agree that the blog draft/lack of editing issue is a problem. I also just discovered that apparently mods and admins can't (easily) see drafts, which is also a problem.

Unfortuantely, this is unlikely to change any time in the immediate future. We aren't putting any real effort into making modifications to the current version of the software that runs EC because we are getting ready to completely replace it with something totally new. So until that happens, unfortunately, there isn't a good workaround.
