    Dear EC peeps,

    EC Staff have deemed it necessary to contact you all about recent behaviour in the chatroom.

    In the last week various members of staff have been investigating allegations made about other members that have been brought to our attention. These are a private matter and concern only the members involved. If these members involved wish to tell you off the site then that is their own choice, but it is not an excuse for you to come on here and start talking about it. In the last week we have seen members using both Chat and PM's to slag off other members and to spread around allegations that have either proven to be untrue or are still being investigated. This allegation spreading has caused more problems for the staff than the actual incident itself and we will not accept it.

    The chatroom is not to be used to slag off or discuss any members you dislike, and we will definetly not tolerate any criticism to members of staff. This includes calling them things like "arseholes" and "cunts". These incidents are a private matter between a member and EC staff so we will not allow you to use the chatroom as a gossip room. Anybody found to be spreading allegations about members after this thread has been posted will lose their access to the chatroom. It is that simple now.

    I am not going to patronise you all by telling you what is and isn't right because you all know, but this last week has caused far too much trouble and the behaviour of some members has been an absolute piss take. These members are being watched very closely and if they carry on causing trouble then they will find themselves losing the priviledges they have. This week has been difficult enough for staff with Paul being mostly absent and other incidents that we are dealing with, so we are sick of dealing with people who want to try and spread false allegations around and cause more trouble. We will not tolerate it any longer.

    The chatlogs are being closely monitored, and any rule-breaking will be logged and dealt with accordingly.

    I'm sorry if this seems rather snappy but I will not tolerate abuse to members or staff. The people making these claims are being watched and we will remove their access if they continue misbehaving. Use the chatroom nicely or you won't be using it at all.
