I have noticed some people have animated avatars and signatures.

For some reason, I keep getting error messages when I try to use an animated gif for a signature or avatar.

What gives? Do I need 100 posts or something first?

The error most likely occurs because of the size of the file.
Custom images on EC can have a maximum file size of 195.3 KB.

You may want to try with a file with smaller size just to see if you can get it to work.

Took me a while to get perfect size, but just search 'gif resizer' and use it.

Yeah, it takes a bit of trial and error to get the gif to a working size.

If you use ezgif then you can see the file size after you resize/compress it before downloading it, which I hope helps.

Well, either the program doesn't work or Im blocked from animated pics and avatars.

I kept resizing the damn pic until it was nothing.......and I keep getting "file too large" when I try and load it on here.
