is there some way to discuss things of this nature in a live online chat kind of way? or a meeting in person or something. it might help to talk to someone without having to wait for a reply on here if we feel safest here.
Hi there EC has a chat room facility which full members can have access to. Before you can have access, you will need to have been a member here for two weeks (which you appear to have done) and made 50 posts on the forum (excluding fun & games subforum). You can chat with other members via wall messages. Just click on the username->view public profile and post messages.
There's also other resources that you can use if you want realtime or in person interaction with someone. For example, TrevorChat is an excellent resource to chat with a trained counselor if you feel that's what you need. However, it's only available from 3-9 EST daily. If what you're looking for more is an in-person type of group, perhaps this site could help you to find something. If you're just looking to talk, perhaps one of the GLBT Talklines (either the youth or the adult one, you haven't mentioned your age) would be helpful. I hope that some of this helps!
