    Hi EC

just a quick heads up, my cellphone operator EE in the UK is blocking access to the Forum pages on this site unless you age verify. Access to other pages within the site are allowed.

Would you like me to send them a letter about preventing teen suicide or do you have a standard letter for website blocking?

It isn't blocking it for me, but I have a suspicion I've already verified my age.

Ugh, I would be surprised if EE (the UK's 'biggest' network) have age blocked it though. How ridiculous.

Doesn't block it for me, and I have not verified my age as I do not have a credit card.

It looks like it was a temporary fault because I can now access the blocked pages. The fault was however very specific to certain pages, including Forum and Members, within the EC website rather than the entire site which is indicative of a deliberate attempt at content filtering so I will ask EE for an explanation. If it was just a lost page or simple DNS error I would have received a page not found message or similar rather than a content blocked – please verify age page.

It's something that happens on occasion. A bug I've had it happen on other sites and a phone reboot solves it.

    Thanks gazwkd

I’ve tried to confirm if it was a one off or it’s something real. I attempted to login to my EE account to setup adult content blocking to test this but the EE website was all screwed up and kept crashing every time I tried to select what sort of content blocking I wanted. Apparently EE are doing maintenance on the site at the moment.

I will try again in a week or so when EE have got their act together.
