    Dear Regular Members,

It has come to the attention of the staff team that an increasing number of applicants appear to be answering Question 9 of the application form incorrectly:
One of the declarations that are made when registering, and again when applying for full membership, is that you have read and agreed to abide by the Code of Conduct. By accessing the Code of Conduct, you can clearly see that the answer to both parts of this question are located at the very top of the page, and are even in bold. To get this question wrong clearly highlights that you have not looked at the Code of Conduct, and have thus made a false declaration on your form. Furthermore, it clearly highlights an insufficient understanding of our security policies, which is not an appropriate quality for a full member.

If you have an application pending, I recommend that you check your application (your copy will be in your PM inbox) to ensure that you have answered both elements of the question correctly. We will be contacting those of you who have gotten it wrong, requesting that you re-submit an answer via PM. This will inevitably delay the consideration of your application.

Any future applicants should be mindful that this question must be answered correctly in order to be eligible for full membership. If we do receive an incorrect answer, we will not be reviewing that application, and will instead push it to the bottom of the reviewing pile until a correct answer has been received. In doing so, this will likely result in your application taking at least twice as long as the average reviewing period. If a clear lack of understanding has been demonstrated, it will be at the discretion of the staff team to automatically reject the application without review.

Please be mindful of this when applying.

    Martin.
