I changed my avatar almost 12 hours ago, and it is still not showing. I'm not sure why it hasent updated yet, but I would like it to change to my new one (a real picture of me)

    Thanks

Oh and another quick thing, I sent a full membership request a day or two ago and I still haven't had I response, I assume the mods are just busy, but just a friendly reminder!

    Thanks

Are you sure your pic is under 200kb and 100x120 pixels?

I applied for full membership 3.5 weeks ago and I'm still waiting so don't hold your breath, I asked and I was told they're busy and it takes 2-4 weeks.

That new avatar is slaying me, man.

Also, I sent my request about a week ago. I guess they really are busy. I can only imagine...

There's a message that appears right after you submit your application that says you'll be notified in a few days once a decision's reached. That was way back when the forum wasn't nearly as large as it was, and the text hasn't been changed to reflect the forum's growth and subsequent longer processing times. These days, because the forum is much larger, there is much more activity, and so moderation needs to accommodate that. Unless time estimates have changed since I left staff, it'd take 2-4 weeks for an application to be processed, especially since it's exam season for many students right now. If no one's busy, a member application could theoretically be finished within a week, but remember that they're all volunteers who work or are in school full-time mostly.

Understood. I'm happy waiting, I might not even get accepted anyway, I posted a few pics of myself on a thread which broke a rule, a mod deleted it and told me

You're damn brave to post an IRL pic on here! I'd never ever do it!
