Is there a way for us to change the way we see the color scheme of the site?

I think I may have seen someone on EC, but it's also possible that they were just using another vBulletin® site, but the color scheme of the site was different. Is it possible for us to change the color scheme of EC for ourselves? Not user profiles per say, but the whole site. For example, changing all of the blue headers to say, green.

It is possilble to have multiple vBulletin skins on a given site. EC used to have two hideous ones that were April Fools jokes (a purple one and a godawful orange and yellow one) but those were , alas, incompatible with a recent update. So other than those, we don't currently support any other templates... nor are we likely to, as we are working on the transition to a new platform.

I'm curious about the new platform. In a previous thread a while back, it was stated to be ready by the middle or end of summer. How is that coming along?

It's going at a steady pace so far. The most time-consuming process is creating documents that outline all of EC's hacks, settings, usergroups etc etc. Basically, anything of importance displayed in the AdminCP panel is being logged to allow for it to be migrated over to our new software. Some of this is automatically done, but other bits we're having to do ourselves, line by line, page by page. Thankfully, the most tedious and time-consuming parts of this are done.

The next stage is to implement the third-party features and security provisions, and to test that these are working efficiently. Once that is done, we'll begin with the final preparations (articles, graphics etc), which a test group of members should be able to assist with to ensure that everything is working as it should.

There's still a bit to do, but they shouldn't take as long as the tasks that we've already completed. In addition to saving all the settings, we also had to spend quite a while waiting for the DEV site to rebuild and reindex all of EC's content (posts, members, wall messages, images etc). It usually doesn't take too long for small communities, but EC has a ton of stuff to do, and it tends to hammer the server. :eusa_doh:

There's still no official date when we'll be undergoing the conversion, but y'all will know that it's close when we start reaching out for testers. Unless any unforeseeable technical issues arise, we should continue to stay on track to get this set up in the uber near-future.
