It crashes all the time. Hopefully it is open again. I restarted, but I'm on a non-Flash portable device so can't check it.
I noticed on another thread you mentioned a new chat software being implemented later this year. Is that what you guys were going to do this summer when chat was down for multiple weeks?
No, that was a different issue having to do with problems with the background logging and security aspects of the application. We haven't chosen the new chat app for certain yet but it is at least somewhat likely that we will be using a chat client that's a pretty robust hosted solution from the same company (InvisionPower) whose discussion forum platform we are moving to. One of the issues we're still sorting out is whether the hosted (and therefore not modifiable) solution they're offering will meet our security requirements.
I mean there's always a self installation available for IPBoard. Didn't know they had a IPBoard hosted solution. Would the chat be html5, AJAX & javascript based instead of Flash (crosses fingers)
