    Usually you have to specifically remove the anonymity from your post to show your username. In the red box in the top right hand corner when you're writing your post, is the box ticked?

    I have the opposite question;
    If I accidentally left the box ticked (It's on by default) how can I edit my post to remove the anonymity (and have it show my name/avatar and count towards my post count)?

    That is a little bit strange! The best way to make sure that it is, is to press "post reply"/go advanced and make sure the little box by "Make Post Anonymously" is ticked. It should be ticked by default. :slight_smile:

    This is a bit trickier and happens all the time! There's no way of "un-anonymising" post without help from the staff. You'll often see posts that say "oops, that was me ^" in the Anonymous forum! If you really want a post changed to be under your username - you could copy and paste the post, post it again under your username, and then report the anonymous version. In the report reason, say that you want it deleted because it's an " accidental dupe post", and one of the staff will try and sort that out for you.

    Ah, I see what you mean. You can only make anonymous posts (and replies) in the Anonymous section. Any posts/replies that you make in the various anonymous sub-forums, Physical and Sexual Health, Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity - will also be copied across to their respective sections of the forum. :slight_smile:

    Oh, snap, really?
    Thanks for your explanation, but erm, I don't know if I would feel right making admins go to that kind of trouble for one little post... maybe for a longer post, but not a general reply... erm, but thanks anyway because that's good to know for the future.
