my avatar is a gif animation that normally runs and its so cute

ive seen other people on here with animated avatars, and the exact same image *is* animated on another site i am on. why not here? haha

Hey,

It seems that some animations often mess up when they are uploaded by members. I have no idea why, but I woud say it happens to about 50% of those who have tried.

If you upload the animation onto EC as an attachment then I'll get it working for you.

Hey,

Unfortunately the image is too big to use as an avatar. The reason it keeps sticking as a still image is because it keeps resizing the first frame of the animation and using that as the avatar. The image needs to be a maximum of 100 pixels x 100 pixels (currently it's 105 x 125), so you may want to see if another member is able to resize it for you. Once it's resized then I should be able to upload it without having it freeze on the first frame.

off topic, but I just saw the link to the image editor, which I find interesting b/c I have been using that same one for about a month to rotate animated pictures for my phone.
