    Hey everybody,

The Supermod team thought that it would be beneficial to update you on some upcoming changes following a discussion with the owners today.

The owners have given the green light for the staff to work on refining and implementing the various proposals that have been mentioned across the site over the last few months. The Chat survey we asked you to participate in awhile back was part of what we're looking at. So over the coming weeks, we'll be getting to work on getting some of the changes implemented, and focusing on EC's future. We'll keep everyone in the loop as soon as we have something meaningful to say, but for now just keep using the site and enjoying its resources!

Also, as many of you know, Paul_UK stepped down as admin, and the supermod team has taken over his responsibilities as far as oversight and policymaking and so forth. But one thing that we've been lacking is someone with constant presence on EC who has admin privileges, which basically are things like maintenance, site configuration, and so forth. So Chip and Martin, who are the staff members most familiar with the ins and outs of the VBulletin software that runs EC, now have access to the admin tools to keep the site running smoothly.

Just to be clear, the EC supermods function as a team to make administrative decisions, talk to the owners when that's necessary, and deal with oversight of things. So even though Martin and Chip's titles are now different (because they have access to the admin tools) they are part of the supermod team and share equal responsibility and decisionmaking with the other three supermods. There's no structural or hierarchical differences, it's just a title difference imposed by the VBulletin software, and we're trying to get that fixed so that all the supermods have the same title, just to avoid confusion.

Please feel free to ask any questions that you may have, but please be aware that there are limits on what the staff can tell you at this moment in time.

    Regards,

    The EC supermod team
