Usually says something along the lines of "Bad Request 400"

Is that a problem on the server end or my end?

It has been happening every once in a while for me, anyone else getting them on a regular occurrence?

That is from here. It is a server issue if you have not explicitly tried to access a specific area of the site in an unusual manner.

whic means it's not a server issue unless you have some under-developed webserver who doesn't know the full http protocol. unlikely that apache is missing something after all those years being the #1 webserver

sometimes a 400 can occur if you have a corrupt or too big cookie. but then it would persist until that one is gone, so the problem probably is something else.
