I was looking back through some of my old posts and trying to edit them but i couldnt find the button, am I unable to edit old posts?
You only are allowed to edit posts up to 15 minutes past the original time posted. Editing past posts poses some security risks, not to mention the ability to possibly disrupt the flow and coherence of the thread.
Hi there! As Joey mentioned, you can only edit posts within 15 minutes of posting them. However, if there are posts that you would like to have edited for security reasons you are more than welcome to create a thread in Ask The Staff with links to your threads/posts that you would like to have edited and staff can edit them for you.
Joey pretty much spelled out why we don't allow that. That's been the policy for quite a while, if not forever, and there's no plan to change it.
And I think some spambots make an inane post and them come back a few days later to stick a spam link in it sometimes when the edit button is still there.
