The roles he had before his departure isn't all that different to the roles that Chip, Maddy, Mirko, TriBi and I have now. Seth doesn't really play much part in EC's day-to-day operations, but he is the one who pays all of EC's costs and has the final say (probably not the right word to use) on matters. He very rarely gets involved with site issues, instead leaving the staff to make decisions, but the security features are an example of a decision that he and his legal team have made regarding the site. Beyond that he's very much hidden behind the scenes and hardly ever gets involved in discussions.

EC, as it currently is, doesn't actually produce any profit for Seth. He pays the server costs etc but there are no subscriptions or adverts in place for him to earn any money from the sites day-to-day running, so it's inevitable that his focus would be on the websites that do earn him money.He can get involved at any time though, and he does make a public appearance occasionally.
