I noticed in the announcement that I was publicly implicated in a hacking attempt against EC. This is either a blatant lie, or a misunderstanding. Allow me to clear things up and get my word in.

I have not attempted to breach any computer system and I also do not have the requisite knowledge. I am not looking for any confidential information and never have attempted to do so.

Either my account itself or my home computer has been compromised. I invite the EC admins to check IP logs so we can clear this situation up. PM me for my e-mail as well so I can check the integrity of my home system as well and ensure it is not being used to conduct criminal activity under my good name.

I am not guilty of any deliberate, willful attempt to secure access to an unauthorized computer system.

I don't even know how to do such things.

Seriously; Not funny, it may be April fools, but this is a site full of LGBTIQA people who may or may not want to keep their membership in this site secret. as well as keeping their data private.
This 'joke' just made me feel like my data wasn't secure. AND because over here April fools is over (it was yesterday) it actually caused me to panic!
Data Security on a site that supports people like this does is no Joking Matter!!!

I can understand why the joke was played, but I had a huge shock when I logged on today!

ok, I was a little irritated, and really not happy about the name substitution on the posts, and no mention of April fools day on the site until I dug through one of the mass posting threads to try and work out why everything was screwed up
