I know there is a way to do it... I can't figure out how to do it though.. can somebody help me??

You just need to upload a gif as you normally would for an avatar, except it has to be within 100x100 pixels and 200 KB.

Ok, I've tried resizing it but it still does not work.

Are you sure you resized it properly? Many programs usually just resize the first image and save that one frame. If that's the case, I suggest just using an online editor like this.

Ah, the problem with it is the size. If you right click on the attachment and select 'View image info'* then you'll see that the file size is 358.37KB.

*That's the option you click on Firefox. I'm not sure whether it's any different on another internet browser?

Also, I'm on a mac, so I cannot find how big the image file is...

Hey,

Unfortunately my knowledge of GIF files and that type of stuff is extremely limited. If nobody comes along and knows the solution in this thread then it might be a good idea to either post in the Tech forum for any peeps who hang around there, or google it for solutions (or for help from an expert forum).

Ok I'm sorry that's crap.

If you're on a mac simply right click the file then click "get info" - alternativley if you havn't fingured out how the right click on a mac (possible seeing as you seem to think mac users simply can't find the size of a file) - just hover your cursor over the file for a few seconds, and It's size will be displayed.

If you don't how to use a mac that's one thing - but don't say you can't do something simply because you are on a mac.

Just because the OP doesn't know how to find out the file size on a Mac computer doesn't mean you need to fly in here with such a pointless and aggressive tone. I'm not sure what the hell your problem is, but you need to re-adjust your attitude very quickly if you think you can just wander into threads and attack members because they make innocent mistakes when using a 'Mac' computer.

Absolutely unnecessary.
