When I want to send a PM to my friends, this is what shows up: All private messages are permanently logged and may be accessed by the admins and super-moderators. Why is it so? Is this going to change? Thank you for your answer
The PM system is working fine. That notice is just to let you know that administrators can access and review your PMs. It's nothing to really be concerned about if your PMs are appropriate. Merely a security precaution.
That notice has always been there. As Eric said, it's a security precaution, and the Staff who are able to access PMs will only do so if there's a very good reason to, namely if we suspect that the safety of the member is compromised.
No, nothing is wrong. In order to keep Empty Closets secure, the Super Moderators and Administrators can look at your Private messages if they feel the need to.
Just to also add that the 'super moderators' part is outdated. The Super Mod usergroup did used to exist, but it has now become the EC Admin usergroup (the old admin usergroup now being the Tech Admin usergroup), so in reality the only people who have access to PM's are the Admins. The other staff usergroups do not have the administrative permissions to do so.
