At times, when I try to refresh the EC forum or sign in, the page times out. When this happens, I usually can't view the forum for about 20-30 minutes.

Anyone experience this or is it just Google Chrome being stupid for me?

I have this problem too. I thought it was just the Internet around my house though..

I've had this problem on multiple browsers (IE, Chrome, Firefox). It's likely to be either your internet connection or the forum's server.

I've been having the same issue. Probably the servers acting up (that's purely conjecture on my part, not an announcement of any kind).

Yea, but I just assumed it was just my internet, xD

On a side note, if you use AT&T, they're having issues with a ton of sites atm.

Even games like World of Warcraft are affected, to the point their servers are randomly crashing, same with Diablo 3, etc.

AT&T's working to figure out what's causing it. xD

We are definitely having some issues off and on. Yesterday in particular, our ISP was having some denial-of-service attacks that were causing intermittent problems, but the problems have been going on occasionally for months.

I'll discuss it and see if there's anything that can be done.

vBulletin have recently released an update patch for the latest v3.x version to resolve some issues with handling high loads (including deliberate attacks) which does seem to help on a forum I run. Prior to applying the patch we had high server load issues a couple of times a day, after applying the patch we haven't had that at all.

That is for v3.8.7 and we are still on v3.6 here so it couldn't be applied as-is. However it might be worth checking out to see what was fixed/changed and seeing if similar changes can be made here, until the planned update to v4.x is done.

We're actually set up on vBulletin 3.8.7 now. The database issues we had back in January resulted in the site unexpectedly updating to the (then) latest version of vB 3.8.

I'll have one of the Tech Admins look into getting the latest patch installed on here.

Cool, hopefully that will help. It's "Patch Level 3" you need to get added.
