It would be kinda cool if under the username where it says orientation and out status and all that if there were options for religion and/or political views. I think it would be another way to relate to people, or at least understand where everyone's coming from.

    Any thoughts?

I think there is enough info there already. The info there is stuff that is relevant to posts in the support threads etc here, whereas your suggestion is not relevant to most posts. It's also likely to cause resentment of people with differing religious or political views.

I have to side with Paul.
While i agree with you that it would be nice to get to know everyone better, I think it would cause more troubles than it would be worth. Besides if we started putting things like that in, where would the end be? Height? Weight? Style?

My feedback is the current info options are more than enough.

I agree...I feel like it would basically be an outline of your beliefs and morals and would force people to make pre-determined judgements based off of that.

I think it would be a bit too divisive. I know Facebook includes space for it but I think here it's mainly irrelevant.

I agree. Religion and politics are both pretty divisive.

I don't want to be judged on things like that.

that would cause quite a bit of tension between some members, wouldn't it?

I agree. No need to create unnecessary tension. Religion and politics are the two topics that can cause huge flame wars on forums. And of course, sexual orientation, but that's not a problem here
