-the privilege of using the Private Messaging system to contact other Full members
-access to the chat room
-The ability to comment on Blog posts and Photos

And don't worry about adding to our load. Put in your application whenever you want.

 

EC has been growing steadily for the past year or so, and it's probably going to continue to grow, so we'll probably be getting even more applications in the future. So you're really doing us a favor by applying now instead of waiting.

 

I made a application a few weeks ago to get back the full member status but haven't heard a word back from anyone (this was about 3-4 weeks ago) is that a no?

 

You'll always hear back from us, whether it's a "yes" or a a "no". As said before, are are snowed under with applications.

 

ah, I fully understand and I'm sorry to be one more for you to have to deal with, on my tumblr network it took me literally weeks to accept or deny applications so I feel you

Sorry everyone! All of us on staff are busy bees, and sometimes the combination of full-time work/education and pressing issues behind the scenes means that full membership applications can take a while to get enough staff input to be processed. But rest assured that you'll always get a response. And if it's been a while, maybe over a couple of weeks, just send a nudge our way. : )

I heard from another user who waited about two weeks but has recently been approved. Just wanted to defend the staff, in that they are getting to these applications. Remember that they also have to develop and test new updates to the system, monitor private and public chat for inappropriate behavior, and also respond to direct user questions for help. (For example, finding mental health resources for suicidal queer and questioning teenagers kind of takes precedence).

Haha, no worries. We're here to help and all that. Your application is in the queue!
One of the reasons that it takes so long is that we need a certain level of input before we approve or reject people, and it can take a while to get enough.
