So, I've read the Code of Conduct several times, still I've got 2 questions. 1. Can I post on a personal message "links or information about websites intended for people aged 18+" if we both are +18 according to the EC profile. I'm guessing no, but just asking. 2. I've been told you can't speak in another language other than English but I couldn't find that rule in the Code. Thanks! Hugs!
You're right, that rule is not on the code. I got confused with another forum in which I'm active and says that posting should be in English only.
i'll let a moderator follow this up, but here is my interpretation of it: What sites can you honestly think of that are age restricted could provide support? Seeing as the only age restricted sites are dating, sex, smoking and drinking.....I'm pretty sure we can talk about these issues in length without the need to link off to the local brewery However, if you would like to meet somewhere and have beer at said brewery, that's what PM's are for (just kidding) ---------- Post added 18th Jun 2013 at 01:02 AM ---------- not to mention that there is no verification on ages and i could set it to say i'm a 350 year old wizard from mordor (gotta love the internets)
While there is currently no written restriction on posting in languages other than English, that issue is currently under review. As for what you can say in PMs, there's no formal policy that says you cannot mention 18+ sites in PMs, but PMs are monitored and inappropriate use of PM will subject you to some sort of action (warning, banning, etc.) Remember that EC is a support site and so messages (private and otherwise) should, for the most part, be focused on support, not on hookups, dating, and the like.
Yeah, I wasn't talking about dating or porn sites, but sites that are intended for support like this one but are labeled as +18. Also, I know the EC age isn't confirmed by anything that's why I guessed it was banned. Thanks on the language rule info.
