Earlier today when I was writing my blog..did the datatbase crash or sumthing.....cause when I clicked send,a nd tried to go to the EC forum, it said Database something? Was this just my computer or everyones?
EC was offline in my area too. I would venture a guess that there was a problem on ec's side rather than on yours.
Yes, it was down for about 40 minutes. The owners were upgrading PHP and MySQL on the server to the latest version (which we need for the next forum software update, as mentioned on the "plans for the homepage" thread). They had a couple of configuration problems which took a little while to fix. Although I had requested this I didn't know when it was due to be done. If I had known in advance I would have posted here. Of course if they hadn't had the problems it would have only taken a few minutes! On their behalf, sorry about that.
